Mile Time Trial - Hamden High School

Total miles: 4.00

Mid afternoon run, high 60's, dry and partly sunny.

Warm-up:

2M run 17:34 (8:47)

100m strides:

 Time Rest
 21-1:41
 18-1:48
 18-1:54
 18-1:53
 18-4:51

 Mile (1600m): 7:02

Warm-down: walk for 5:18 and 1M jog 9:25

This was a calibration run to access my fitness level at the end of
the hot summer season.

Today's time was a bit slower than back in June but I would say
the 2 mile warm-up might have been excessive for the amount of
rest before the effort. Also, the 100m strides were faster than
usual.

Felt a bit tired, but okay otherwise.

My first impression is that I was still recovering from the long
hard workout on Saturday, so I am not reading too much into the time.

Hey loving that 6:29/mile time trial of 11/26/11. What is your fastest mile (meaning since you got back into running). Mine is 6:51. I should do another mile time trial soon as I am a bit curious what I could put together.

That is the faster that I measured since high school/college days.
