Winter Wonderland 5M Milford

 (1 wu)	6.00	41:12

Mid morning race, low 30's, overcast.

Splits:

1) 8:00
2) 8:03
3) 8:22
4) 8:19
5) 8:28

I started from the middle of the pack, kept a steady pace,
some hills on the course.

I was hoping to keep a 8:00 pace but I slowed down a bit after two miles
and did not have enough strength to pick up the pace in the later part of
the race.

I ran this race back 2010 in 38:59, so adjusted for age, about the same performance.

However, it is hard to power a 5M race on 20 miles a week, more work to be done in
the months ahead, but it is still early in the season.

The race was very competitive, I came in 28th in my age group. The winner in my age group
ran a 5:32 pace, so he was in a league of his own.
